Athletic therapist Lauren Gavrailoff’s final project explored Weight-bearing and Knee Orthoses Protocols Following Tibiofemoral Articular Cartilage Surgery: Developing an Expert Recommendation. For Lauren, the best part of completing her Master’s was improving her critical thinking skills and seeing the direct and positive impact it had in her work.

Darrel Hagel’s journey in the MRSc program led to his major project: Support Post Cardiac Rehabilitation: Feedback Following a Group Medical Visit. As a Physical Therapist, Darrel joined the MRSc program with hope to acquire further knowledge and skills to inform and develop his clinical practice. “In order to help improve patient care and push for program growth I felt I needed to improve my skill set as a health care provider. This required me to improve my knowledge base regarding quality improvement, research, evidence based practice and program development,” Darrel explains.

Six course-based graduates completed their MRSc this spring: Massage Therapist Kara Loy; Recreation Therapist Sarah Cimicata; Occupational Therapists Kelly Sharp, Karin Schmidt, and Mimi Simon; and Kinesiologist Emma Kliever.

Congratulations everyone!
