Welcome to our New Director, Dr. Nikki Ow

We are delighted to introduce Dr. Nikki Ow as the new Director of the Rehabilitation Science Online Programs (RSOP). Dr. Ow has been an integral part of our department for the last two years, serving as a postdoctoral fellow. Her extensive experience in teaching and supervisory roles with graduate students makes her an ideal candidate for this leadership position.

Nikki’s career trajectory reflects her dedication to the field of occupational therapy and rehabilitation science. After gaining almost a decade of practical experience as an occupational therapist in diverse international settings, she decided to pursue further education. She chose McGill University for her academic journey and subsequently successfully completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Science.

Nikki’s PhD experience not only added to her academic qualifications but also kindled her passion for teaching and inspired her to contribute to the field of rehabilitation science through teaching and research.

With this news, we bid a fond farewell to Daniela Cavalcante and Patricia Mortenson who have graciously served as our interim Co-Directors. After a year of exemplary leadership, our department has benefitted from their unwavering professionalism and dedication, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their outstanding contributions.
